Goessel USD 411 adopts 2024–25 budget and LOB resolution; approves student hires and $5,000 grant

Board member Paige Conquest moved to adopt the published 2024–25 budget, citing the district’s Building Needs Assessment and State Assessment; board member Ben Schrag seconded the motion. The board carried the adoption 5 to 0. Immediately afterward, Ben Schrag moved to adopt the Local Option Budget resolution for 2024–25 and Bryant Miller seconded; that motion also carried 5 to 0.
In consent and action items, the board approved prior minutes and financial reports, which included a check listing of $145,072.29 and district credit card use totaling $4,591.64. The board approved Katie Schmidt as Musical Assistant under personnel on the consent agenda.
The board also approved hiring four Goessel High School students as part‑time custodial/maintenance crew employees — Jadyn Conrady, Luke Stucky, Koy Smith and Adam Wonser — on a motion by Bryant Miller and seconded by Paige Conquest; the motion carried 5 to 0. The board accepted a $5,000 grant from Farm Credit Services (Blackbaud Giving Fund) for the GHS Animal Science Pathway on a motion by Ben Schrag, seconded by Bryant Miller; the motion carried 5 to 0.
