URAC hears housing-grant update, Cascade Avenue TGM progress
Summary
Staff reported the agency did not receive a $2 million Housing Infrastructure Support Fund grant for Mount Adams work, supported a $2 million Infrastructure Housing Finance application by Big River Community Land Trust, and said Cascade Avenue TGM vendor selection is underway; these were bundled as brief administrative updates after the OR 281 presentation.

Will (administrator) gave brief administrative updates near the end of the meeting. He said the agency applied for a $2,000,000 Housing Infrastructure Support Fund grant to continue Mount Adams design work (10% designs and an intersection control evaluation) but learned the application was not funded; staff will search for additional funds to continue one more round of comments with ODOT.
Will also said the agency supported Big River Community Land Trust's $2,000,000 Infrastructure Housing Finance Program application, which was submitted the previous day. He added that the Cascade Avenue Transportation Growth Management (TGM) grant application is moving to vendor selection; the City of Hood River Planning Department is selecting vendors to advance corridor design and possible land-use changes, and URAC is expected to play an integral role.
These updates were informational; there was no separate motion or vote on grants during the meeting. Staff offered to share work-in-progress images of Taylor Avenue designs with committee members for feedback.
