"I think it should read a request disputing the notice of violation must be filed," Jeff said, explaining the change would correct the procedural language.
Council opened the public hearing, heard no speakers, and closed it. On a unanimous vote, the council approved the ordinance on second reading with Jeff's suggested amendment.
What happens next: The amended ordinance will be adopted as adopted local policy to conform with the state statute; staff will update the municipal code and administrative procedures to reflect the clarified dispute request language.
