Agricultural Commission approves minutes, will add Right-to-Farm notice to December tax bills and compile directory

The Agricultural Commission approved its April meeting minutes and voted to include the current Right-to-Farm notifications with the December tax bill at its Oct. 30 meeting.
Ag Commission member Randy Prostak moved to accept the April minutes; Nathaniel Bellows seconded and the motion carried with all in favor. Later in the meeting, Bellows moved — and Paul Hicks seconded — a separate motion to send the Right-to-Farm notices with the town’s December tax mailing; commissioners again voted unanimously to approve the action. Bellows will coordinate the logistics with townhall staff.
Commissioners also reviewed survey responses received earlier this year. Surveys suggested creating an Agricultural Commission directory; Prostak said he would begin compiling directory information from the survey responses for the commission to review.
Representatives from the community garden indicated they would like to attend a future Commission meeting; Victoria Valenti said she will reach out to notify them of the next meeting. The Commission scheduled its next meeting for Feb. 16, 2026, at 7 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
