Open Space panel to meet new owner after Kennedy Road office purchase to discuss County Connector Trail

Chair Louis Caruso told the Open Space Advisory Committee on Nov. 5 that an office building on Kennedy Road had been purchased and that he and the township administrator will contact the new owner to discuss the potential continuation of the County Connector Trail through or adjacent to the property.
The committee, which met for about 10 minutes, moved quickly through routine business. Margaret "Peg" Phillips moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of Oct. 1, 2025; Richard Conklin seconded. There was no discussion and the committee voted unanimously in favor.
Chair Caruso requested a motion to enter executive session; Richard Conklin moved to enter at 7:07 p.m. and John Lynch seconded. The committee returned to open session at 7:13 p.m.; Phillips moved to close executive session and Conklin seconded. All votes were recorded as "All Ayes." No substantive details of the executive session were disclosed in the public record.
Under old business, Chair Caruso reported the Kennedy Road property sale and said he and the township administrator will arrange a meeting with the new owner to discuss whether the County Connector Trail can be continued. The committee did not record a decision or set a firm follow-up date in the minutes; the matter was entered as an item for further contact and potential future action.
There were no items under new business and no members of the public were present for comment. Gladys Golder moved to adjourn at 7:14 p.m.; Peg Phillips seconded, and the motion carried. The committee scheduled its next regular meeting for Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
