The Ronceverte Planning & Zoning Commission re-elected Wayne Peer as chair and Leah Smith as vice chair during its meeting on Jan. 9, 2025, at Ronceverte City Hall. Rusty Arnold moved to nominate the incumbents; Leah Smith seconded, and the motion carried with all members voting in favor.
The re-election preserves the commission's existing leadership as it prepares for imminent on-site review work. Chair Peer opened the meeting at 6:04 p.m.; commissioners later confirmed a site visit for 608 Greenbrier Ave scheduled for Jan. 11, 2025, at noon, weather permitting.
Commission members noted the minutes from the Nov. 14, 2024 meeting were not available for review. With no citizens signed up to comment, the commission moved through the remainder of its agenda and adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
Attendance recorded at the start of the meeting included Chair Wayne Peer; Chris Stanley-Rodriguez (participating by telephone); Vice Chair Leah Smith; Rusty Arnold; Mayor Deena Pack (ex officio); and Reverend Bob Daniels. The meeting proceeded with routine procedural actions and the scheduled new-business items.
