Ronceverte City Council unanimously approved Grant Amendment 1 to its CDBG-MIT stormwater project on Feb. 3, extending the project completion date to Dec. 31, 2027.
Bob Hazelwood reported delays in the acquisition process and said the amendment proposes the later completion date to allow the project to proceed. "The amendment proposes to change the completion date to December 31, 2027," Hazelwood said. The council voted in favor after a motion from Mark Trent and a second from Ashley Guet.
Council members described the amendment as necessary to accommodate acquisition delays; no vote breakdown beyond unanimous approval was recorded. The amendment authorizes staff to continue work under the grant and to pursue the revised completion schedule with grant administrators as needed.
