Councilmember Scott Vogelsong moved to suspend the program for 2024; City Recorder Leah Smith seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously with Mark Trent, Mayor Deena Pack, Leah Smith, Scott Vogelsong and Ashley Guet (participating by phone) voting yes. Council members Gail White and Tanya Hazelwood were absent.
The suspension is effective for hunting year 2024; council did not specify a timeline or criteria for reinstating the program. No formal amendments or follow-up study were recorded at the meeting.
The council's next regular meeting is scheduled for Dec. 9, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.
