Councilmember Gail White moved to read the ordinance by title only; Scott Vogelsong seconded and the motion to read passed 5-0. Mayor Deena Pack read the ordinance by title. City Recorder Leah Smith clarified that the ordinance’s scope includes electric fencing as well as barbed wire. Following that clarification, White moved to approve the ordinance and Vogelsong seconded; the motion to approve passed unanimously, 5-0.
The ordinance was presented under new business and received no further discussion during the meeting. The council did not record any amendments or conditions to the adoption during the session. The ordinance is recorded as Ordinance 2024-05 in city minutes and will be enforced under existing municipal code enforcement procedures.
