Marshall County Board approves warrants, per diems, a lost-warrant reissue and accepts a retirement
Summary
At its July 21 meeting, the Marshall County Board approved payment of warrants totaling more than $971,000, adopted per diems, approved a lost-warrant cancellation and reissue, accepted a retirement letter from Chief Deputy Jon Tinnes, and approved an Enbridge valuation-appeal OP-ED.
The Marshall County Board of Commissioners handled routine business and several recorded resolutions at its July 21 meeting.
The Board adopted Resolution 07-21-01 authorizing payment of warrants: Auditor warrants totaling $376,048.83 and Commissioner warrants totaling $595,702.28; the motion carried (M/S/C – Duckstad, Nybladh (5,0)). The Board recorded per diem payments under Resolution 07-21-02 (Sharon Bring $225.00; Jim Duckstad $375.00; Gary Kiesow $375.00; Domita Mack $75.00) totaling $1,050.00 and approved them (M/S/C – Nybladh, Kiesow (5,0)).
Auditor-Treasurer Scott Peters reported on 2027 budget planning, blighted/forfeited property and an Enbridge valuation appeal update; the Board approved an OP-ED on the Enbridge valuation appeal. The Board also approved a lost-warrant cancellation and reissue under Resolution 07-21-03, cancelling warrant #343369 dated Nov. 18, 2025 issued to Robert Deschene in the amount of $185.00 and authorizing reissuance without a bond (M/S/C – Bring, Kiesow (5,0)).
The Board accepted a retirement letter from Chief Deputy Jon Tinnes effective Dec. 30, 2026 and offered thanks for his 30-plus years of service (M/S/C – Duckstad, Nybladh (5,0)). The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
