The Adams County Board of Supervisors on July 13 approved a 28E agreement connected to the Competitive Highway Bridge Program (CHBP), accepted county claims totaling $984,464.76 and approved the Recorder's Quarterly Report. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Chris Standley.
Supervisor Scott Akin moved to approve the CHBP 28E agreement; Supervisor Tony Hardisty seconded. The motion carried with all five supervisors — Chris Standley, Leland Shipley, Scott Akin, Bobbi Maynes and Tony Hardisty — voting aye. The CHBP-related agreement was described as a 28E intergovernmental agreement to participate in the bridge program as presented to the board.
The board also approved the claims as presented. The published claims list shows a grand total of $984,464.76 for a wide range of county expenditures, including road materials and services, insurance and county programs. County staff presented the list and the board voted to accept it; no line-item debates are recorded in the transcript.
Recorder Jamie Stargell presented the Recorder's Quarterly Report. Supervisor Bobbi Maynes moved to approve the report and Supervisor Tony Hardisty seconded; the motion carried with all supervisors voting aye.
Procedural business earlier in the meeting included approval of the agenda and the minutes from the July 6 meeting on a motion by Supervisor Scott Akin seconded by Supervisor Bobbi Maynes, which also passed unanimously. The meeting record shows public comment was received but does not include the content of those comments.
The board adjourned at 9:59 a.m.
