Trustees accept teacher resignation, approve coach hires and student travel; Student Council outlines plans

The board approved two student travel requests: an out‑of‑state high school band trip to the University of Idaho in April (presented by Mr. Phillips) and a National Speech & Debate trip to Virginia in June (presented by Ms. Stine). Both travel requests passed unanimously.
Student Council President Nic Gustavson told trustees about plans for the upcoming high school dance, proposed changes to the Student Council constitution, a plan to award a Student Council scholarship annually, and that he will attend the U.S. Air Force Academy. Principal Charlie Appleby also noted winter activity days and middle school band in his briefing; Principal Mark Hansen reported 18 students had perfect attendance during the first semester.
The board's approval of routine personnel and activity items was handled through the consent agenda and recorded as a single unanimous action.
