The Board of Trustees of Bigfork Elementary School and Bigfork High School, District No. 38, met Nov. 21, 2025, in the district office. Trustee Deb Johnson called the meeting to order at 11:02 a.m., and Trustees Deb Johnson, Mac Kirk, Ben Woods, Dan Elwell and Paul Sandry were present; Trustees Carol Field and Julie Kreiman were absent.
The board approved the meeting agenda after a motion by Trustee Ben Woods and a second from Trustee Paul Sandry. The consent agenda was approved following a motion by Trustee Paul Sandry and a second from Trustee Deb Johnson; both votes were unanimous among the five trustees present.
Under personnel business, the board recorded an extra-curricular resignation: Cortnee Gunlock is listed as resigning from the position of head girls basketball coach. The board also listed a recommended hire for that position: Isaac Martel is presented as the recommended candidate for head girls basketball coach. The transcript records these items as "recommended for consideration" and does not show a separate vote approving an employment offer. The board noted that any offer of employment is contingent on receipt of a satisfactory criminal history background check and, for some positions, other pre-employment screening.
Board Chair Paul Sandry joined the meeting after it was called to order. The board announced its schedule of upcoming meetings — Dec. 10, 2025; Jan. 14, 2026; Jan. 21, 2026 (board workshop); Feb. 11, 2026; Feb. 18, 2026 (board workshop); Mar. 11, 2026; and Apr. 8, 2026 — with regular meetings held at 5 p.m. in the high school library unless otherwise noted.
Trustee Paul Sandry moved to adjourn; Trustee Mac Kirk seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting was recorded as adjourned at 11:04 a.m.
