Mark Hansen reported on National Honor Society activities, pre-ACT testing and the Veteran’s Day Assembly and read a Student Council report submitted by Nic Gustavson; eighth-grader Ellie Woods addressed trustees about fund-raising to buy and install a used vending machine in the middle school. Charlie Appleby reported on a middle school dance, upcoming staff training, boys basketball and a small electrical fire at the middle school; the minutes state the fire was small and there were no injuries reported.
Principals and trustees also reviewed first-quarter attendance figures compared with prior years and noted overall lower absence counts to date; this presentation was informational and required no board action.
