Commission announces website RFP, Sept. 30 comprehensive-plan hearing and Oct. 1 tax deadline

The commission announced an open request for proposals for website development and .gov domain migration, with proposals due Oct. 10, the Chair said. The notice included the migration to a .gov domain as a requirement of the procurement.

The commission also scheduled a public hearing on the updated comprehensive plan for Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room and said the meeting will be available via Zoom. "Announcement, public hearing for updated comprehensive plan on Tuesday, 09/30/2025," the Chair stated when listing upcoming public engagement opportunities.

Commissioners set their next regular meeting for Oct. 14; the Chair said they would "make an effort to be here and run the meeting," and one commissioner said they would join virtually.

A commissioner reminded residents that personal property tax payments must be made by Oct. 1 to remain eligible for state reimbursement this year. "Personal property payments, tax payments, or the full amount are due by October 1 in order to stay in compliance with getting reimbursed back for your personal property payments, for this year," the Commissioner said.

Earlier in the meeting the Chair noted prior discussion with the council about property development needs and an ordinance and then closed that item with no motion, and a separate agenda item on homeowner assurances related to Fort Springs, West Virginia elevation also produced no motion or action at this session.

The meeting concluded after the commission completed its agenda and the Chair called for adjournment.
