The Town of Henrietta Planning Board voted July 21 to conditionally approve application 26-006 for a new Raising Cane’s restaurant and drive-through at 823 Jefferson Road.
Karen Majanowski (Boaler Engineering) and Raising Cane’s project staff described a 3,475-square-foot restaurant with roughly 50 interior seats and approximately 35 patio seats, a two-lane drive-through with 13 inner stacking spaces, and site circulation designed to use existing plaza access and cross-parking arrangements. The team said the location benefits from an existing plaza chamber stormwater system and that the project actually reduces impervious area and adds additional plantings.
Board questions focused on hours of operation (applicant stated 10 a.m.–1:30 a.m. Sunday–Thursday; 10 a.m.–3:30 a.m. Friday–Saturday), rooftop screening for HVAC, dumpster screening, lighting photometrics and stacking logistics during peak opening demand. Staff and applicant agreed to resolve technical comments in the engineering review letters prior to final administrative signoff.
After discussion, the board moved and approved the site plan per the drafted resolution, with the standard condition that outstanding technical comments (lighting plan, final stormwater details, and minor plan markups) be resolved by the applicant and staff before issuance of permits.
