Tecumseh council approves wage increases, airport fund transfer and several contracts

The Tecumseh City Council on Aug. 4, 2025, approved wage recommendations for the 2025–26 fiscal year and a set of contracts and payments covering airport arrangements, public‑safety equipment and local infrastructure work. The meeting was held in the Utilities Conference Room and was called to order at 5:00 p.m.; Mayor Jesse Grof presided and City Clerk Janelle Moran recorded the proceedings.

It approved the rendered plan for the Event Center project from Lamp Rynearson and accepted a quote from Mahoney Concrete for sidewalk work along Lincoln Street (between 9th and 6th streets) and for the alleyway between the park and the pool. The council approved Pay Application No. 4 from Farabee Mechanical for work on the Power Plant project in the amount of $131,788.31.
