The Greenbrier County Commission opened procurement bids for three projects and directed staff to review the single proposals received before any award decisions.
For the Hopkins Knob emergency communications tower generator, the lone bid listed a 26‑kilowatt unit submitted by Meanbriar Technologies. One reader in the meeting read the bid as $12,021.48 while another read $12,040.48; the chair asked that the bid package be forwarded to Don for a technical and paperwork review before any recommendation or award is made.
The commission also opened a proposal from Greenbrier Technologies for main services at the Greenbrier County Emergency Communications Center. The submission included an executive summary and supporting documents but did not include a final total price; the vendor requested follow‑up discussions about current system configuration, vendor coordination and scope exclusions to produce a final contract amount. Commissioners assigned staff to meet with the proposer and return a recommendation.
For landscaping at the Greenbrier County Health Department, one bid was received from Riverbend Landscaping quoting a total project amount of $86,918.40. Staff will review the specifications and bring any recommendation for award back to the commission.
No contracts were awarded at the meeting; staff were asked to complete technical reviews and return recommendations to the commission for formal action.
