The minutes state the district increased the athletics department budget for 2024–25; high school head coaches received a reported 42% pay increase in that budget cycle.
The presentation included a county comparison: a custodian at step 7 in Coquille earns $22.02 per hour, compared with North Bend at $23.08 and Coos Bay at $21.49, per the materials presented to the board.
The board also approved routine consent items by unanimous vote. Luke Taylor moved to approve the consent agenda items (9.1–9.5) and Marsha Frost seconded. Approved personnel items recorded in the minutes were a hire (Cassandra Hardman — Daycare EA) and resignations (Heather Rogers — substitute; Quentin Wolfe — custodian; Erin Mackenzie — substitute). The minutes record that the motion passed unanimously.
