Pleasanton council declines skid-steer purchase but approves power washer and copier lease

The Pleasanton City Council discussed multiple equipment and procurement items at its March 2 meeting, approving some purchases while declining another.
Council considered a motion from Councilmember Bowley to approve purchase of a skid steer but the motion died for lack of a second; council asked City Administrator Becky Hegwald to contact bidders about leasing options and warranty terms. The council approved purchase of a portable hot-water pressure washer from Hy-Flo for $5,000 (motion by Stark, seconded by Wills). Council also agreed by consensus to allow Public Works to offer surplus equipment and supplies for sale by sealed bids.
Separately, the council approved a 63-month lease for a new copier with 360 Document Solutions at $374.95 per month; staff said the proposal included paying off the current lease with Copy Products. The council carried the copier lease motion unanimously (moved by Haynes, seconded by Wills).
