Phillipsburg redirects website redesign funds to pay for ADA-compliant livestreaming

Mayor Lance Munyon and Accounts Payable Clerk Rachel Martin told the council the city has been paying CivicPlus about $3,184 every four years for a website redesign that changes appearance but not underlying data. Munyon said the redesign is not needed on that schedule.
The council voted unanimously to remove the four-year redesign from the CivicPlus renewal. CivicPlus agreed to remove the $3,184 charge, credit prior payments toward a future redesign, and apply that credit to buy the CivicPlus Media module so the city can offer ADA-compliant livestreaming of meetings on its website. Rachel Martin said she has been working with CivicPlus to get livestreaming up and running.
Council members did not record the full contract terms or an exact implementation timeline at the meeting; the City Clerk and IT staff are to work with CivicPlus to enable the Media module and report back when the livestreaming capability is active.
