Scott Carter, Criminal Sergeant with the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, presented April 2026 activity statistics to the Ione City Council: 59 hours dedicated to patrol duties, 31.5 hours in School Resource Officer services (Deputy Stutzman returned from paternity leave), 58 total incidents recorded, and 34 area checks performed. Carter said additional patrol coverage in South Morrow County will begin as newly hired patrol staff come on duty.
