Maysville commission approves personnel appointments, reappointments and several resolutions
Summary

At its Dec. 11 meeting the Board approved a slate of personnel actions and routine resolutions.
Fire Chief (speaking on the record) recommended hiring Montana Lutz and Tanner Rayburn as full-time probationary firefighters; the commission moved and approved both hires by roll call. The commission also approved reappointments to the Main Street board, the Revolving Loan Fund and the Board of Architecture Review with listed term expirations.
The commission passed a resolution authorizing a Phase 1 environmental assessment with the Kentucky Energy and Environmental Cabinet for the Train Depot property (resolution 25-64) and approved the city's annual letter of commitment for the Kentucky Main Street program (25-65). The board also adopted the Mason County comprehensive plan as presented by the Mason County Joint Planning Commission (25-66), with the mayor commending the planning work and public input.
A corrected resolution rehiring retired police officer Chris Veil on a one-year contract (resolution 25-67) was moved, amended and approved. The commission also endorsed America250KY and its mission to coordinate county-wide 250th anniversary events (25-68). The board read and approved the second reading (amended) of an ordinance establishing a process for long-term public-private partnerships.
Appointments in the utility department were made following a closed session; Carson Barber was appointed to the wastewater collection field crew. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn and holiday remarks from commissioners.
