Moore Haven council reelects Wayne Browning as mayor; names Marcus “Marc” Decker vice mayor

At a special meeting on Sept. 19, 2024, the Moore Haven City Council reorganized its leadership, nominating and electing Wayne Browning as mayor and Marcus “Marc” Decker as vice mayor.
Attorney Steve Ramunni opened nominations for the mayoral position; Council member Marcus “Marc” Decker said, “I nominate Browning.” Council member Bradley Smith seconded the nomination and the motion carried, installing Wayne Browning as mayor.
Ramunni then opened nominations for vice mayor. City Clerk Ashley Wills told the council that “the Vice Mayor is also the financial advisor.” Bradley Smith nominated Marcus “Marc” Decker for vice mayor; Rashonda Croskey seconded the nomination and the motion carried.
The reorganizations were completed by the council without recorded opposition or roll-call tallies in the minutes. The meeting then moved on to other agenda items and adjourned at 5:18 p.m.
The appointments take effect immediately as recorded in the minutes from the Sept. 19 special meeting.
