The Oxford City Council voted unanimously on June 9 to adopt Resolution 2026-07, authorizing a Loan and Disbursement Agreement and providing for the issuance and securing the payment of Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 2026. Councilmembers Reihman, Hennes, Green and Roberts voted yes on the roll call.
The council held a public hearing on the proposed loan and disbursement agreement immediately before the vote; Clerk Taylor Tvedte said no members of the public had contacted the city about the hearing and no one in attendance spoke in opposition. After the hearing closed, the council returned to regular session and approved the resolution.
Earlier in the meeting the engineer noted work on the wastewater treatment plant and that Steve's Electric was given the go-ahead to begin work on the plant. Council members discussed related infrastructure matters during the public-works and engineer reports prior to the hearing.
Resolution 2026-07 authorizes city staff to enter the loan and bond documents and to proceed with the financing described in the agreement. The council did not record additional conditions or contingencies in the meeting minutes. The public hearing record shows no public opposition. The council adjourned at 7:39 PM.
