Commission approves small rezoning for two-house project on S. Kelleher View Road

Knox County zoning commissioners voted July 20 to rezone a 1.45-acre parcel at 7768 South Kelleher View Road from agricultural to RA (low-density residential). The property, in the 4th Commission District, was the subject of a staff recommendation to approve the rezoning as consistent with the county’s comprehensive plan and surrounding development.
Rick Wilkinson, who said he is a partner of the applicant Natalia Infomenco, told the commission the plan is to build two single-family homes on the parcel. “We’re just gonna build two single-family homes on this 1.45 acre property,” Wilkinson said.
With no members of the public signed up in opposition, Commissioner Jackson moved to approve the rezoning “as presented,” a motion the commission carried on open vote. The chair congratulated the applicant and wished the developers luck with the project.
The approval was routine in procedure: planning staff recommended the change, the applicant described the limited scope, and the commission voted in favor. No special conditions or amendments to the planning recommendation were recorded in the meeting minutes for this item.
The applicant may proceed with county permitting and any subsequent site-plan or building-permit reviews required under Knox County rules.
