Council OKs updated CAD user-access agreement with Pasco County and CentralSquare for integrated dispatch

Chief Cochin (speaker 11) explained a minor update to the CAD user-access agreement between the city, Pasco County and CentralSquare Technologies that clarifies access language, adds standard statutory references and adjusts some pricing structures. He said the county requested several small changes (public-record language, sovereign immunity citation) that do not substantively alter the agreement'—s meaning and that both parties retain the right to terminate with notice.
Chief Cochin said the integrated dispatch project is moving forward with a target implementation in November or December and that the agreement fits within the police and fire budgets already approved for CAD licensing and support. Council moved and approved the updated access agreement by voice vote.
Staff said residents may continue to submit public-records requests to the city or county and that, where exemptions apply for CAD data, appropriate redactions will be managed under applicable public-records law.
