Sewer project nears completion; Noma council authorizes repaving bids and RFQ for engineering services

Minutes show the CDBG-DR sewer project construction is nearly complete, with remaining plant and lift-station improvements expected within roughly a month before closeout. Council also recorded receipt of state plan/spec approval for a CDBG-NR repaving project and voted to authorize advertising for construction bids once procurement documents are ready.
Separately, council authorized staff to advertise a qualifications-based RFQ for continuing professional engineering services to support utilities, roads, drainage and parks. The RFQ authorization passed by motion of Councilmember Josephine Curry, seconded by Councilmember Daniel Arrant, and was recorded as unanimous.
The council also noted that MSCOP side-street paving will require CCNA certification before design work can proceed; that certification remains a prerequisite to move that specific element forward.
