At its recessed meeting on Jan. 20, 2026, the Pascagoula City Council considered and adopted its dockets of claims and the payroll docket.
Docket of Claims (A) was introduced by Councilwoman Amy Brandenstein, seconded by Councilwoman Darcie Young, and adopted with Mayor Jay Willis and all council members recorded as “AYE.”
For Docket of Claims (B), Councilwoman Brandenstein recused herself and left the meeting. Councilman Matt Parker introduced the order and Councilman Felix Fornett seconded. The order was adopted with Mayor Willis, Councilmen Stallworth, Fornett, Parker and Blythe recorded as “AYE,” Councilwoman Darcie Young recorded “NAY,” and Brandenstein recorded as “RECUSED.” The minutes contain a typographical error listing the date of that action as Jan. 20, 2025; the meeting occurred on Jan. 20, 2026.
For the Payroll Docket, Councilman Chris Blythe recused himself and left the meeting. The payroll order was introduced by Councilwoman Brandenstein, seconded by Councilman Carlos Stallworth, and adopted with the remaining members voting “AYE.” Blythe was recorded as “RECUSED.”
The meetings’ record shows the procedural votes and recusals; no additional fiscal details about the dockets’ contents are provided in the excerpt.
The council adjourned at 8:07 p.m.
