At its June 8 meeting the Great Valley School District Board of School Directors approved a multi‑item consent agenda, a personnel slate that included an announced retirement, and a set of policies presented for second reading and adoption.
A board member moved to approve consent agenda items 801 through 822; another board member seconded the motion and President Rachel Gallegos called the voice vote. The motion “passes 7 to 0,” the president said, and the meeting record shows two board members were not in attendance for the vote.
Later the board moved and approved the personnel recommendations. The superintendent acknowledged one retirement on the personnel list, saying, “There is a retirement on there. Kathy Bertanzetti, who is one of our aides at General Wayne. She will be retiring, effective June 17.” The personnel motion was approved 7–0.
During the policies portion of the meeting, the board moved to approve item 11.01, which the president described as policies up for second reading and adoption after prior review. The motion was seconded and adopted by voice vote 7–0.
No public commenters spoke during the meeting’s public participation periods, and the board adjourned after brief additional board remarks.
