Pittsboro approves tax‑abatements for two Cam Drive properties, seeks corrective plans for others

For those properties staff recommended seeking 30‑day corrective action plans and allowing up to one year for applicants to remedy shortfalls; if applicants fail to comply, staff recommended rescinding the abatement.
Council approved the two abatement requests (201 and 401) by voice vote and asked staff to work with applicants on corrective action plans where discrepancies exist. Staff and council discussed practical challenges gathering employee data while respecting privacy protections and agreed on acceptable forms of verification.
