Pearlington board ratifies officers, approves dockets and permits Office Manager vacation carryover

At its Jan. 15 meeting the Pearlington Water & Sewer District ratified board officers for 2025, approved routine claims, payroll and minutes, and authorized the Office Manager to carry over vacation time after an Office Clerk resignation.
The Pearlington Water & Sewer District Board of Commissioners ratified its 2025 officers and completed routine administrative business at the Jan. 15 meeting at the Pearlington Recovery Center.
The board ratified the election of officers: Cabrina Bell as Chairman; John Pavlovich as Vice Chairman; Rosa Jackson as Treasurer; Debra Sonnier as Secretary; and Nolan Pansano as Commissioner. The motion to ratify officers was moved by Rosa Jackson, seconded by John Pavlovich, and passed unanimously.
Board members approved a series of routine financial and recordkeeping items. The board approved the January 2025 Docket of Claims; approved the payroll docket for December 2024; and approved the November 2024 recess meeting minutes and the Dec. 18, 2024 regular meeting minutes. Each motion passed by unanimous vote as recorded in the minutes.
Under the Business Report, CPA Ty Necaise noted the district needs a new bank account to transfer DFA grant funds. The board also approved a motion authorizing the Office Manager to carry over all accrued vacation time into 2025 because the Office Clerk resigned; the motion was moved by Rosa Jackson, seconded by Debra Sonnier, and passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 p.m. The minutes are signed by Secretary Debra Sonnier.
