The board voted to approve the meeting minutes and claims and heard its superintendent's monthly financial and MS4 program reports.
Committee member (S1) moved to approve the minutes and Clerk (S3) seconded; Chair (S2) called for the favor and the board responded "Aye." Committee member (S1) made a similar motion to approve the claims and Clerk (S3) seconded; the motion passed.
In the superintendent report, Superintendent (S4) presented June financial results: "Total operating revenue was $75,348. Our expenses were 34,821. That left us with a surplus of 40,527. So for the year, we're on a surplus of just $23,877," S4 said, and noted ongoing transfers to the capital improvement fund and a debt service payment on the stormwater bond.
In the MS4 (stormwater) program update, Superintendent (S4) said the billing department issued eight residential erosion and sediment control violations between June 17 and July 16 and engineering issued two related violations at Eastern Park in the same period. S4 said staff are maintaining a complaint tracker spreadsheet, can print it on request and will provide it to the board periodically. Board members asked to see the tracker from time to time and thanked staff for follow-up work.
The board did not discuss or vote on changes to the budget or on enforcement priorities at this meeting; staff said they will continue monitoring enforcement and bring project scopes and cost estimates for identified maintenance projects back to the board.
