The Soda Springs City Council voted March 4 to approve revised plats for Park Ridge subdivision Phase 2 that change the layout and building standards for the next phase.
Developer Barry Oats presented the revised Phase 2 plat, which reduces the previous layout of six twin-home lots to five per side of the road. The council amended the motion to include an increase in planned garage widths from 12 feet to 20 feet and to require a 40-foot asphalt roadway. Councilman Mitchell J. Hart confirmed the city intends to adopt the street once it is constructed to city standards. City Attorney Thomas Smith clarified that the developer must prepare a replat for the final phase to satisfy recordation requirements.
What happens next: Oats will prepare updated Park Ridge Phase 2 plats reflecting the agreed changes and submit them for final city review; the community development department will bring the final plat and engineering exhibits back to the council for recordation.
