Sedan council accepts water contract and approves tourism ads

The Sedan City Council on Feb. 3, 2026, accepted a contract with Public Wholesale Water Supply District No. 20 and approved expenditure for tourism advertising during its regularly scheduled meeting.
Kathy Miller moved to accept the water contract with Public Wholesale Water Supply District No. 20; Angela Evans seconded and the motion carried by a 4–1 vote. The minutes record the tally as "1 Nay to 4 Yay votes" but do not identify which council member voted no.
Pam Koerner asked the council to purchase four quarterly advertisements in Southeast Living Magazine to be paid from the tourist guest tax fund. Each quarter costs $237.50 for a total of $950. Crystal Wade moved to approve the expenditure; Wellington Butler seconded. The motion carried unanimously (0 Nay, 5 Yay).
Earlier in the meeting Crystal Wade moved — and Angela Evans seconded — to approve the meeting agenda; that motion carried unanimously. The consent agenda was also approved on a motion by Crystal Wade, seconded by Kathy Miller, with a unanimous vote.
