The Snake River School Board approved its 2026–27 classified and administrative salary schedules on May 20, voting 5-0 to adopt the presented schedules.
The minutes note that district representatives and the Snake River Education Association (SREA) met on May 7 to discuss salaries and benefits, and that ‘‘HB 516 has caused some problems with negotiating the terms and wording.’’ The record says the district had not heard when the SREA planned to resume negotiations and that a special meeting will be required to ratify any negotiated agreement once terms are finalized.
Trustee Toni Ibarra moved and Trustee Larin Mortimer seconded approval of the salary schedules; the board voted unanimously. The minutes do not include details of the salary amounts or specific language changes influenced by HB 516.
