At the Nov. 19, 2024 meeting, Operations Manager Shane Willis presented Premier Lakes’ work order and a revised Bentley Electric proposal that would add roughly 125 feet of electrical work to relocate an aeration system in Lake E1-C. After discussion about budget implications and alternative approaches, the board approved installing a so-called "zombie box" at the existing location for $3,098.
The motion to install the zombie box carried 3-2. The minutes record that Mr. Schultz, Mr. Twombly and Mr. Merrill voted in favor, and Mr. Mountford and Mr. Blumenthal dissented. The minutes also note staff suggested revisiting the relocation proposals (about $10,755) during the proposed FY2026 budget discussions.
The board did not adopt the more expensive relocation at this meeting; staff will include the relocation cost options in future budget deliberations.
