Bray recounted a fatal accident years earlier and a more recent incident in which a speeding vehicle ran through a property line and sheared a tree off in his front yard. He also described an overturned van that landed on his property after an intersection crash that ejected a child and injured occupants. "A few years back... that resulted in a death a fatal death," Bray said, and asked commissioners to "consider maybe making 1100 East And 400 South Intersection and 1100 East and 600 South Intersection... 4 way stops."
Chair responded that deputies had increased enforcement since the speed-limit reduction and recounted speaking with a deputy who stopped nine vehicles on 1100 East in one afternoon; commissioners said enforcement remains part of the solution but recognized additional measures may be needed. No formal vote on traffic controls was recorded at the meeting; commissioners said they would "take that into consideration."
