Premier Lakes reports algae and reduces compressor noise; Board delays Lake E4-A plantings pending agreement

At the River Ridge Community Development District meeting on July 23, Bill Kurth of Premier Lakes reported that the lakes, preserves and dry retention areas are generally in good condition, but seasonal algae growth has been observed and some plantings remain scheduled.
Kurth reported that a palm tree at the shoreline of Lake E7A was removed and that a cabinet was installed around the Masters Lake compressor to reduce noise; he said the sound level was reduced "from 64 to 52 decibels," which he considered acceptable. Operations Manager Shane Willis noted that the issue is not only decibel level but the tone of the aerator, and the Board asked staff to consider moving the compressor and review easement constraints. Willis and Kurth will coordinate and report back at the next meeting.
Board Chair Schultz summarized additional edgewater concerns including flooding and littoral plantings; the Board reached consensus that Canna lilies should not be planted and agreed to delay plantings in Lake E4-A until an agreement is reached with the Edgewater Condo Association and Cambridge Management.
Next steps: Premier Lakes and district operations staff will evaluate moving the compressor and report findings at the next meeting; plantings for Lake E4-A will be placed on hold pending agreement with the Edgewater Association.
