Residents urge pet microchipping and organize school‑supply drives at public comment

Joshua Schultz (speaker 8) described a "Fill the Bus" school‑supply drive operating in front of the Del City Walmart from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday and next Friday to collect supplies for Del City feeder elementary schools (Del City Elementary, Eberly Heights, Townsend, and Parkview). Schultz said the drive accepts supplies and donations of paper, printer supplies, snacks and clothing to help students and teachers before the school year.
Councilmembers also publicly thanked volunteers who helped clean the I‑40/Sunny Lane welcome area and highlighted the Beautification Committee’s work; Stacy Bridal was singled out for organizing the effort. The council welcomed nominations for the Del City Hall of Fame induction on Oct. 9.
