Christina Fiebig, Tri‑County Hazardous Waste and Recycling Solid Waste Coordinator, briefed the Mosier City Council on Nov. 5 about program activities and new recycling guidelines intended to reduce contamination in curbside and drop‑off streams.
Fiebig described updated procedures and outreach priorities to help residents sort materials correctly and reduce contamination that can undermine recycling programs. Mayor Witt Anderson suggested posting the presentation materials on the city’s website so residents could review the new rules.
City Recorder Amy Szilagyi was assigned an action item to post the Wasco County presentation materials to the city website.
The council did not take a formal vote on the presentation but accepted the update and agreed staff would follow up to make the materials available online.
