The council adopted Resolution 25-03 authorizing city staff to apply for an Oregon State Parks Local Government Grant of up to $50,000 for planning services to develop a Millsite Park enhancement plan.
City Administrator Lonnie Rainville said planning would include community input sessions and a consultant-led design process, with emphasis on baseball and softball field improvements as well as the bandshell and playground. The grant requires a 20% local match; staff indicated the grant would be worked into the city’s 2025–26 fiscal budget if pursued.
Council moved and approved the resolution unanimously. Staff will include the grant application and potential match requirements in next year’s budget planning.
