State Affairs sends three RS proposals to print on voting affidavits, Women’s Commission repeal and reappointment restrictions

RS 32868 would repeal Idaho Code Chapter 60, Title 67—the Women’s Commission—citing that the commission was defunded 17 years ago. RS 32970 would prevent individuals rejected by the Senate for gubernatorial appointments from being reappointed for at least one year; Sen. Den Hartog expressed a concern that the proposed language might bar reappointment to any position rather than only the one previously rejected and asked for clarification if the measure moves forward. Each RS was moved to print and carried by voice vote.
