Staff said UAS's board of regents had approved the offering and the MOA will appear on the August agenda or could be signed earlier if logistics permit.
On facilities, the superintendent reported that the architect contract with Envisions — selected via formal bidding — is on the agenda to begin design work for a waterline project, replacement of high-school gutters and repair of elementary-school entryway pillars; the design will support the district's state CIP application. The superintendent also noted recent maintenance accomplishments: the gym floor was refinished and staff recommended renewing the flooring contract; 1st City Electric is on-site to complete generator work by an August 14 deadline and district staff are working on auto-shop student space renovation.
What happens next: Staff will bring the Envisions contract and the MOA with UAS forward per the board's agenda process; pre-K funding will be reflected in the district's July fiscal records and budget planning.
