Jamestown sets decorating contest deadline, discusses more lights for Lake Fest

The Jamestown City Council set the registration deadline for the home and business decorating contest and discussed event infrastructure for Lake Fest at its Dec. 19 meeting.
The chair announced that tomorrow would be the last day to register for both the home and business decorating contests and that judging will take place on Dec. 23. The chair said the later registration window was chosen to give residents and businesses time to finish decorations.
Council members also discussed recent improvements at the Judicial Center, including added lights and decorations, and said staff are exploring options to add more electrical access and locations for Lake Fest events. The chair identified Les and other staff as working on cost and logistics estimates.
With no further substantive items, the council voted to adjourn.
