Board extends RATPDev transit management contract, removes residency requirement

City staff explained the current contract is a three-year agreement with two one-year extension options; the board authorized what staff described as the second year extension. Donna, the contract representative, told the board the only modification requested was removal of a short sentence requiring the manager to reside inside city limits. Staff said the city does require residency for some board positions but not for employees.
The board approved the extension by voice vote. Staff noted the modification is limited to removing the residency sentence and that the rest of the contract remains unchanged.
What’s next: Procurement and contract administration will follow the terms the board authorized; staff will execute the contract modification and implement the extension period.
