The motion to post the mowing specification and solicit bids was moved by Sue James and seconded by Arlene Batschelet; the commission recorded the motion as passed. Commissioners discussed that the price of mowing is likely to be higher for 2026 and agreed the specification should reflect anticipated cost pressures.
The commission also discussed related operational tasks — placing corner markers, scheduling on-site map work to verify burials, and arranging mapping nights — as preparatory steps to help bidders understand the work scope.
