Amityville Planning Board approves Dunkin' and Baskin-Robbins sign for 355 Broadway with permit and removal conditions

The board attached two stipulations to the approval: the applicant must obtain a sign permit before installation, and the sign must be removed within 30 days if the business closes or relocates. Chairperson Greenwald also reminded the applicant that building permits are required once plans are approved and that the project must comply with applicable Village, state and county codes.
The motion to approve was made by Chairperson Stephen Greenwald and seconded by Laura Ellis. The vote was 5-0 in favor (Stephen Greenwald; Mary D'Andrea; Laura Ellis; Amanda Lowe; Kelly Medwig). As Chairperson Greenwald announced, "Motion carried: 5 ayes 0 nays." Ted Eid added, "I'll give them to you right now," when handing in returned receipts for required notifications.
The application identifies the premises as located on the east side of Broadway (Route 110), approximately 220 feet south of Dixon Avenue in a B-1 Business District (SCTM# 101-3-2-20.6). The Board concluded its business and adjourned at 6:05 P.M.
Next steps: the applicant must secure the sign permit and any required building permits from the village building inspector before installing the approved signage.
