The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Board voted unanimously to change its regular September 2024 meeting date from Sept. 16 to Sept. 9 so members could review the city's capital improvement program (CIP) projects before the finance committee's schedule.
Staff explained the executive budget and CIP release schedule is compressed this year, with initial CIP material and committee deadlines occurring in late August and early September; moving the PRF meeting a week earlier gives the board an opportunity to review projects and make recommendations before finance and council action. Board members noted logistical concerns about room-sharing and start times; staff said they would coordinate locations and logistics.
Jennifer Wallner moved the motion and Eric Comer seconded; the board approved the date change unanimously.
