Culbertson council adopts three resolutions raising levies to fund water debt and municipal services

On Aug. 1, 1932 the Culbertson Town Council adopted three formal resolutions that set the town's tax levies for 1932. Resolution No. 62 established a 29‑mill levy on taxable property to create a sinking fund to retire refunded water bonds and pay interest. The council also fixed a 15‑mill levy for funded debt.
Separately, the council adopted Resolution No. 63 to fix the general municipal and administrative levy at 20 mills — the increase voters had approved in April — and Resolution No. 64 levying 5 mills for road purposes. Council members recorded the motions and the measures were passed and approved at the Aug. 1 session. The records show the resolutions were introduced by Councilman A. W. Warden and supported by Councilman N. M. Johnson, with all members present voting in favor.
The resolutions specify that revenue from the sinking fund levy will be used to retire the Refunded Water Bonds and interest; the general levy proceeds were directed to the town's general fund.
